I was born and raised in East Hollywood. I am an Immaculate Heart of Mary School alumnus, and I have held a deep connection to this school ever since I was a student. For high school, I attended Downtown Magnets High School. I obtained my bachelor's degree in English at California State University, Los Angeles. As a member of the PLACE Corps program, I obtained my master's degree in Elementary Education at Loyola Marymount University.
After serving at IHM from 2014-2015, I taught 3rd grade for four years at St. Linus in Norwalk, CA. I am beyond thrilled for the opportunity to serve at my alma mater once again to give back to the community I was raised in.
